Used in production, e.g. to reduce carbon dioxide in young red wines (de-carbonation, i.e. gas removal) and oxygen removal before bottling or storage. Caronization - Refreshing white wines or Rosé wines by bottling and additions to produce CO2s or sparkling wine. The Winegas unit can be used directly between the bottling line or anywhere. The working element of the system works on a hydrophobic membrane system. Its specified pore sizes are permeable only to small molecules such as gases, thus avoiding the loss of volatile aromatics. The liquid passing through the tubes passes through membranes that contain either a defined vacuum for de-gassing or a suitable pressure for carbonation - resulting in the mixing of the liquid to the limit of saturation.
