Potassium metabisulfite Winy (1 kg)

High purity potassium metabisulphite. An important additive in wine, it protects wines from oxidation, eliminates unwanted microbial flora, solubilizes phenolic substances in skins and blocks the activity of oxidative enzymes. Used to prevent oxidation of juice/wine/beer, to eliminate natural yeasts during fruit processing and to stop the fermentation process. Dosage: to sterilize wine 1...1.5g/10l. for sterilizing equipment: 10-20g/l water (+ citric acid 0.5g/l). WARNING: Always use sulfite with acid when disinfecting materials! 1g of sulphite generates approx. 0.56g of SO2. Use: dissolve in a small amount of water or wine and add evenly to the processed mass. Store in a cool, dry and ventilated place. Open package: close carefully. Protect from moisture! WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GLOVES / CLOTHING / FACE AND EYE PROTECTION Causes severe eye damage. Contact with acids releases toxic gas. In case of eye contact, rinse thoroughly for several minutes. If swallowed, contact a POISON CENTER or doctor immediately.
