Apple Ermine Moth Pheromone Trap - Effective Solution for Pest Control
Apple Ermine Moth (Yponomeuta malinellus) pheromone trap is an effective tool for gardeners to monitor and control pest insects. The set includes a cardboard trap, 2 pheromone capsules, 2 adhesive sticky bases, and mounting hardware.
Pest Description and Life Cycle
The Apple Ermine Moth is a white butterfly with black spots on its forewings and silver-gray hindwings. Wingspan is 18-20 mm. Moths emerge in the second half of July and fly at dusk for about a month. Female moths lay 20-80 eggs on branches, which overwinter under scales.
Damage and Impact of Spread
In spring, caterpillars feed on leaf tissue and create webbed nests. Caterpillars grow to 18 mm in length, are whitish or grayish-yellow in color with characteristic row of dots on their back. In case of mass infestation, they can damage the entire tree foliage, affecting crop quality.
Trap Installation and Usage
The pheromone trap is installed on the south or west-facing branch of the apple tree at 2-3 meters height. One trap is intended for one mature apple tree or two young trees. The pheromone capsule attracts male moths with an environmentally friendly scent.
Maintenance and Monitoring
The trap should be checked weekly, record the number of caught moths, and clean or replace the sticky base if necessary. After 3-4 weeks, it is recommended to replace the sticky base and in the second half of July, also the pheromone capsule.
Usage Recommendations and Safety
We recommend using protective gloves when handling sticky bases. For cleaning dirty hands, use white spirit or cooking oil. The trap body can be reused for controlling the same insect species next season. Consistent use helps prevent mass spread of pests.

Pea moth pheromone trap is an ecological solution to protect peas from pests. In small gardens, 2-3 traps per pea bed are sufficient. In larger fields, place traps 20 meters apart around the perimeter and several in the center.
Trap Features and Usage
The pheromone trap consists of a plastic housing, sticky base, and pheromone capsules. The device attracts pea moth butterflies that get stuck on the sticky base. With the trap you can detect pest presence in the garden, assess pea moth population, and reduce pest population.
Installation and Maintenance
To install the trap: Bend up the ends of the trap's bottom surface. Place the sticky base with adhesive side up. Place the pheromone capsule in the center of the sticky base. Attach the trap to a branch using included parts.
Package Contents
Package includes: 1 plastic trap, 2 pheromone capsules, 2 adhesive sticky bases, 2 attachment parts.
