Oxygen absorbers protect packaged food and other products against spoilage, mold growth, color change, loss of nutritional value, insect damage, and quality deterioration. By reducing residual oxygen inside packaging to below 0.01%, this 300CC oxygen absorber effectively preserves packaged foods without the need for food additives/preservatives and without vacuum sealing. Designed for use in gallon-size Mylar bags. Package includes 5 packs with 10 absorbers each.
Oxygen absorbers are used for long-term food preservation by placing them in tightly sealed containers with food products. They react with oxygen inside the packaging, converting it to iron oxide, which prevents the growth of aerobic microorganisms and oxidation processes.
