Maintenance and Usage Guide
Preparing New Barrel
1. Fill barrel with solution (10g tartaric acid/1L water)
2. Soak for 4-5 days
3. Empty thoroughly
4. Disinfect with sulfur strip
5. Fill with wine immediately
Preparing Used Barrel
1. Clean with soda solution (1kg soda/10L hot water)
2. Rinse thoroughly
3. Soak in tartaric acid solution (10g/1L water) for 2-3 days
4. Disinfect with sulfur strip (1/4 strip/100L)
Empty Barrel Storage
1. Rinse with clean water
2. Let drain for 24h
3. Disinfect with sulfur strip
4. Close with bung
5. Store in humid and cool conditions (humidity 70%, 12-17°C)
6. Repeat disinfection every 3 months
