(See product images for optimal cutting point) 2. Remove the nut and bolt and thread it through the clamp. Ensure the grooved part faces outward (see image). If the grooved part isn't facing outward, the clamp may slip off the round edge of the kettle. 3. Loosen the bolts and rotate the clamp up or down to adjust tension. Use the nuts to lock in desired tension. Always start looser and then tighten as needed. Warning: Do not use clamps or adjustable clamps with glass lids, as the clamps are designed only for metal steam condensers or distillation lids.
