Mini Design - Ideal Flow Rate for Small Systems

Conventional beer taps are designed with a 10 mm diameter nozzle, allowing for pouring a pint in about 10 seconds. For compact portable or home brewing systems, a slower flow rate is better as it's easier to control and reduces foaming issues due to the low liquid volume in the tap body.

The NukaTap Mini is ideal for pouring smaller quantities, such as cocktails (150-250 ml). For portable systems, this tap and FC ball lock connector assembly is small enough to fit in your pocket, making it perfect for mini-keg systems that you want to carry with you or fit in a home refrigerator.

Forward Sealing Design

Forward sealing taps are definitely the right choice for beer taps. The problem with old rear sealing taps still used in the industry is that beer dries on the tap piston. This is unhygienic and can cause the tap to jam, damage seals, or break handles. The forward sealing design doesn't have this problem and the tap empties completely. ALL NukaTap taps are FORWARD SEALING.

Laminar Flow

The NukaTap Mini is designed for laminar flow, which is crucial for beer taps. This means you pour beer with minimal foaming and less waste. Better laminar flow easily pays for itself through reduced beer loss. Extensive modeling has been done on this NukaTap design to improve laminar flow.

Integrated Durable Seals

The NukaTap Mini body is made of POK, making it strong and autoclavable. The seals are over-molded from Santoprene, making them so wear-resistant that they last for the tap's lifetime without replacement. Both materials have excellent resistance to all chemicals used in the beverage industry. The internal seals are over-molded, meaning there's no place for bacteria and dirt to hide.

Better First Pour Foam

First pour foam is a problem caused by a warm tap body. The NukaTap Mini has low thermal mass and is highly insulating, being made primarily of Santoprene and POK. This combination, along with laminar flow, ensures minimal "first pour foam" effect.

Long Shank Alternative (sold separately)

Conventional beer taps require a 22 mm hole drilled in the wall. The new design fits any wall thickness and significantly reduces stagnant beer in the shank. Three screws are included for walls up to 80 mm thick. An advantage of this new design is that the tap will never accidentally rotate thanks to three fixing points.
