Working Principle of the Airlock
The airlock works through a siphon system where water prevents outside air access. Carbon dioxide produced during fermentation escapes through the airlock due to overpressure, maintaining optimal conditions in the container.
Maintenance and Usage
Regular checking and liquid refilling is necessary as water in the airlock may evaporate. Instead of regular water, a 10% sulphite solution can be used for disinfection. During cleaning, note that this model requires more thorough maintenance compared to cylindrical models.
